CCC Auditions

ENTRANCE INTO THE CROSS CREEK CHORALE (CCC): The Cross Creek Chorale is a select, auditioned ensemble for those singers looking for an advanced choral experience. To the degree possible, this ensemble will be a balanced ensemble of SATB singers. Membership in the CCA is required in order to audition and participate. When spaces open, members of CCA will be notified that a space is available.

Cross Creek Chorale Requirements: 

• Learn music independently, often with quick deadlines 
• Prepare two songs of contrasting style, and one must be memorized 
• A selection from musical theatre is acceptable 
• Demonstrate basic pitch and rhythmic sight-reading ability
• Must be a performing member of CCA 
• Must be available for CCA and CCC concerts 
• Must complete an audition with the Artistic Director demonstrating basic pitch and rhythmic sight-reading ability and prepare two songs of contrasting styles
• Must be a strong music reader, well-versed in notation and terminology, and experienced in ensemble performance
• Must be able to sing without vibrato when needed
• Must be able to sing in Latin, Italian, German, and French with a reasonable amount of coaching
• Selection into CCC is at the sole discretion of the Artistic Director
• Pay CCC dues in addition to CCA dues, usually $25 per season
• CCC members may periodically be asked to re-audition at the discretion of the Artistic Director
