Join CCA

ENTRANCE INTO THE CUMBERLAND CHORAL ARTS (CCA): While CCA is a non-auditioned ensemble, it includes many experienced singers. Our choral family is an enjoyable social experience for its members and maintains a serious approach with regard to musical standards and commitment. Once you notify the group that you would like to join, a voice placement will be done prior to the prospective member’s first rehearsal. This consists of a range test, interval, and melodic response singing. Once this is completed, the member will be welcome to join regular rehearsals as long as any financial obligations have also been met. Dues are $100 per season, or by paying $50 to start with the balance paid no later than the end of January.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO SING WITH CUMBERLAND CHORAL ARTS?

General Requirements:

• Auditions are open to all singers aged 17 and older who have a passion for fine ensemble singing.
• Be enthusiastic, conscientious, reliable, hard-working, and dedicated, with a desire to perform a wide variety of vocal music. 
• Be available for at least 80% of all rehearsals scheduled in advance for a given concert. 
• Be available for mandatory rehearsal with orchestra prior to a concert.
• Commitment to the organization and willingness to help in non-singing areas when able.
• Complete a Vocal Placement with the Artistic Director prior to the first rehearsal for all new members.  This is not a formal audition. 

CCA Concert Choir: 

• Must be able to follow music
• Must be able to match and hold pitch
• Choral experience in church, school, or community choir is a plus
• Must be willing to sing (or learn to sing) in Latin, Italian, German, French, or any other language when provided with resources and coaching
• Must be available for CCA season concerts

Youth Eligibility:  High school students (17 and older) singing in the Fayetteville Youth Chorus (FYC) are eligible to audition for CCA with approval of the FYC director.  If accepted into CCA, students must maintain membership in FYC concurrently
